What I Love
Parks & Recreation
Zebulon's residents love staying active—it's why they have acres upon acres of green space to enjoy all year-round! However, there are a few parks stand out among the rest.
Little River Dam and Park is a place rooted in history. In fact, the original Moore Mill, which was constructed in 1868, still stands today. 47-acre Zebulon Community Park, another community staple, which features two basketball courts, a championship disc golf course, playgrounds, and fitness stations.
Attractions
Did you know that Zebulon has its very own minor league baseball team? Visitors from across the Triangle always flock to Five County Stadium to watch the Carolina Mudcats, an A-Advanced team that's been playing ball since 1978.
Although the team only moved to Zebulon in 2012, the community has embraced the Mudcats and turned them into local icons. Be sure to cheer them at one of their home games, which often feature special themes or events that are fun for everyone!
Schools
Are schools an important factor in your home search? Even if you don't have children, you might want to consider the perks that come with living in a top-rated district, such as steady home values and increased equity.
Luckily, Zebulon's younger residents are served by Wake County Public Schools, the state's largest district. You'll have five high-performing schools to choose from, including Wakelon Elementary, Zebulon Elementary, Zebulon Middle, and East Wake High.
Events
You won't have to go far to find some exciting things to do—Zebulon has a packed calendar of events, which means there's always something fun going on! Monthly movie nights always attract a big crowd to the Zebulon Community Center, and there's plenty of free popcorn to go around.
Have you been working on your swing? The Dogwood Crosstown Classic is an annual disc golf tournament that has been held in the area for 35 years, and it's a top-notch opportunity to learn from the best players in the game.
Shopping & Dining
Although Zebulon might be small, it's actually home to plenty of shops and retail destinations. Locals always head to Triangle East Center, which features Belk, Food Lion, and Roses. Wedgewood Terrace Shopping Center is another popular choice, especially if you're running errands on the fly.
Looking for a bite to eat? You won't have to go far to find plenty of options. McLean's Ole Time Cafe, Hillbillies, and Southland Steakhouse are Zebulon staples that you won't want to miss.
