Wake County Public Schools
WCPSS is the largest school district in the state and boasts some pretty amazing accolades. This district is the second best in the Raleigh area and educates over 160,000 students.

Chapel Hill-Carrboro Schools
This top-rated district has an A+ rating from Niche.com plenty of reasons. It's consistently rated the best district in the state and nearly 70% of all students are proficient or higher in math and reading.
Orange County Public Schools
Looking for a safe district with high test scores and top-notch schools? Orange County is the place for you. Your child will have plenty of one-on-one attention, especially with a 14:1 student-teacher ratio.
Johnston County Public Schools
Johnston County is a fantastic place to live, and its schools are excellent, too. Students here have access to tons of programs, including Advanced Placement and Gifted Programs.
Durham Public Schools
There's a lot to love about Durham's schools! This is one of the most diverse districts in North Carolina, and it also has plenty of programs your child will love. The 15:1 student-teacher ratio is excellent, too.
Franklin County Public Schools
This fast-growing district encompasses the northeastern part of the Triangle. Your child will enjoy a great rapport with teachers, as there are fewer than 10,000 students in this high-performing system.
